A cement paste is said to be of normal consistency when a 300 gram, 10-mm-diameter Vicat needle penetrates 10 + 1 mm below the surface in 30 seconds.
Slump cone test is done to measure workability of concrete.

Universal Testing Machine (UTM) measures compressive strength of mortar/concrete blocks.
